Beginner Strings

Beginner stings sessions are ideal for young people that have begun lessons with a basic understanding of their instrument.

If you don’t have your own instrument, please contact the Music Hub regarding hiring an instrument to use for the ensemble and to enable practice opportunities at home. We will be playing pieces of music together and learning how different parts work when put together. Sessions are made up of tutor led rehearsals with additional help on how to follow music correctly in an orchestra. Young people will gain exposure to a wide range of orchestral music and learning to play alongside others, working as a team and making like-minded friends. Young people will be strengthening basic expected musical knowledge and developing beginning musicality at their level of playing.

Availability: Saturday mornings, 10:00 – 12:00 pm during term time
