NTMEH has a number of volunteers who support the work of the hub on a regular basis.

We can facilitate work experience placements and put you in touch with other local arts organisations who can help.

  • Many of our adult volunteers support our musical groups and ensembles on a weekly basis.
  • All volunteers are DBS checked.
  • Other volunteers  support at our events and concerts, or help us with our fundraising activities.
  • We are also in the process of putting together a parent’s group for those whose children take part in our weekly activities.

Please contact us for further information and to find out how to get involved.

“Volunteering at the hub is my way of saying thank you for the great times I enjoyed playing music in North Tyneside during my youth. I support the hub with a range of tasks, from helping to clear up after concerts to playing in some of the ensembles. Some of the youngest musicians will tell you that my most important job is helping at the tuck shop! I love seeing and hearing the young musicians develop at the hub. It’s a vibrant place which provides great opportunities to North Tyneside’s young people and volunteering amongst the talented staff and students is a fabulous experience. I enjoy every minute.”
