Recorder Consort

Recorder Consort group is open to those with some initial experience of playing recorder in school.
If you don’t have your own instrument, please contact the Music Hub regarding hiring an instrument to use for the consort and to enable practice opportunities at home. This group is for players of approximately Grade 2 and above. Skills that are learned while playing music together in this group include being able to work as a team, and developing listening skills to be able to play together. We learn pieces of music in two parts for two descants/trebles, in three parts for descant, treble and tenor and in four parts for descant, treble, tenor and bass. We aim to develop musical skills of ensemble playing, learning to play accurately together and balancing the sound between the parts.

Availability: Saturday mornings, 10:00 – 12:00pm during term time
