North East Vocal Festival: Choir of the Year Competition 2023
The 10th February saw the return of the North East Choir of the Year competition held at Durham Cathedral.
North Tyneside Music Education Hub were represented by King Edward Primary School and Wellfield Middle School in the Primary category, and by Kings Priory School in the Secondary category.
The standard of the competition was very high and all 17 schools sang beautifully in this stunning venue. Judge Ann Besford, CEO of National Youth Choirs of Great Britain, awarded the winning secondary prize to Kings Priory School.
